Mom’s Birthday Knee Socks
are done!!! AND I got dot five days before hand too! yay!
Pattern: Evening Stockings for a Young Lady By Nancy Bush from Knitting Vintage Socks
My Ravelry Page
Yarn(s): Socks that Rock, Mediumweight
Colorway(s): Jasper
Needle(s): US 1½ / 2.5 mm
Casted On: July 30, 2009
Casted Off: September 27, 2009
Modifications: Followed the pattern except I changed the heel to a garter stitch one. I am thinking it will make the socks more snug for mom. I also did a round toe
I enjoyed making these. They surprisingly didn’t take that long, for knee socks that is. I’d knit a lot in them then I would move to something else and eventually pick them up again. Mom will love them so that’s the main goal for the birthday girl!

I love the color of the yarn. Very pretty, they look great
They look great! Congratulations to you — and to your mom!
