Loopy Socks

Last year, the Loopy Ewe had an Anniversary kit and I finally decided to do something with the yarn. I made a plain stockinette pair of socks and I love them!

DSCF6601 Thoughts on Stockinette Socks

Some consider stockinette socks to be boring. And I agree. I never have only one project going on but if I do know that I wouldn’t rely on projects like this to be my sole source of a challenge. That said, I made one other pair of stockinette socks and they are. So. Warm. and. Comfy! So I’m not completely turned off from them. I love them, in fact. Just when I make a pair, they have to be made with fun yarn. The yarn either has to feel woooooonderful or stripe interestingly or have just wonderful colors in it.

I like plain socks, but I agree… the yarn has to interest me! That’s why I have a bunch of Vesper that I use for plain socks. Interesting enough that I don’t mind there’s no patterning going on. These came out great! I like the yarn and it worked well with a plain pattern :)
